Hi, I'm thinking about starting a project that involves a frontend module

React is definitely the status quo when it comes to popularity.

Svelte however, seems to be graining some momentum. Based on what I see, it reduces the chunkiness of the React code, and is more developer friendly.

I'm wondering about the popularity of Svelte among Singapore developers. Wouldn't want to have problems looking for developers to join the project in the future

Personally I have not heard of anyone around myself talking about Svelte, even if it will to gain popularity, the readily available React developers should still exist.

IMHO all front end frameworks while not similar, bears the same ecosystem. When it comes to tooling, sure it will differ, but it is certainly not to the level where it is extremely hard to pick up by experience frontend developers already in React/Vue/Angular etc. Think about it, where would this bunch of Svelte developers comes from? Obviously they must have transit from existing JS/TS frameworks.

If you are concern with human resources, then sticking with React may still make sense, it is not like React is dwelling right now.

Want to spearhead new bleeding technologies? Be ready to accept challenges including lack of resources. Otherwise stay with the fire tested solutions, have something working first before you enhance or migrate. Can’t be the vanguard and yet not spill blood, isn’t it?

Not sure what frontend module you mean, web or mobile? Anyway the current popular market in SG is Flutter. This is based on the number of companies I've seen trying to recruit developer with flutter experience.

As for me personally I'm still using React for my own personal project.
