I've taken the HDD out of my old computer and I want to open the files and maybe transfer some, Picasa etc to my new computer.

I've connected to my new computer using a USB 2.0 to IDE cable set up.

The old HDD is shown on my new computer devices page.
And the HDD device is working properly.

But every time I try to open the files I get
F\:is not accessible. Access is denied.

Now a month ago I did manage to open, read and transfer some files using an iObit programme, iirc, but I can't remember how I did it.

Is there any way that I can open, read and transfer some more files????
The old computer, over 10 years old, went kaput and wouldn't load windows.

Post in the appropriate forum and do not dump everything into HWC.

This is not the first time you posted in the wrong forum.
