Used to be a Oppo/Realme fan before switching to Poco after Realme shut down its Global Store in Singapore and reduced its offerings.

Hisory of my Android phone brand of choice:
Samsung -->Oppo --> Huawei --> Realme --> Poco

My realme 12 pro+ just died today while doing online shopping
It is an global rom export set and lasted under 2 years

Pro : Camera with the OIS was decent, the wifi was superb getting connections in my home where other devices couldn't . The UI is relatively clean and bloatware easily removed or disabled

Con : the mobile RF signal was bad, by far the worst of any phones I've had. 4G never got past 100 mbps , 5G never got more than 400mbps and auto switching often failed. The battery life was also bad, it underperformed other 5000 mAH phones I had by 20-30%. Then the durability, it died after less than 2 years of low usage, this is my 2nd phone that I use for travelling and in SG, seldom bring out of home.

Overall : For $500, this is a massive disappointment. Maybe it's the curved screen which has been reported to cause many hardware problems, but I won't be buying any Realme for now

realme 16 series are out now but they are insanely overpriced especially 16 Pro+ with lousy med-end SD 7G4 and no eSIM!
