Can admin/mod please clarify why I was given a 0 point warning?

The warning was given as referral codes; interactions to highlight referrals (PMs, send me a PM, etc.) are not allowed in the forums. In your case, you mentioned in a post about sending a PM to a user on referrals. Scenario 1: hey guys, use my code "xxxxxx"

Scenario 2: hey guys, I wanna join this new platform too. Got any promo codes for discount?

Scenario 1 is pretty straightforward, I think most find it a nuisance. But what about for scenario 2? More often than not, the promo codes can be referral codes as well.

how bout things like forumers chatting abt finding jobs. My coy has vacancy so I’m sending via pm my referral code to this forumer. So dat he/she can try to submit the job application. Is this allowed or no?

For Scenario 2, we discourage this and would act by removing the post if it comes to our attention.

It's a rather different situation here as the conversation takes place over PM. Of course, you don't go spamming everyone with your referral or post on the thread with comments like "sent you a PM".

If the person you send the message to is keen let them respond, no need to reinforce your action in the thread.
