Those are meant to be on the desk below the monitor when you are at the PC. The stand helps make sure the sound is pointed at your face

I'm using Z623. Sound shiok shiok. Promedia 2.1 is good as well but then the price is 2x of Z623. Don't buy the Leviathan. Had 1. Annoying. If there's no music/sound coming out of the speaker for 10 mins or so, it will power off by itself. Have to switch on the speaker again.

Am using the Corsair SP2500 and it is a very understated speaker due to the price. I have used the Logitech 623 before and I find it is overwhelmingly bassy while the SP2500 is much more balanced in the sound signature. Bass is also PERFECT. It is expensive but honestly I find it absolutely great for gaming and music.

No regrets. :D

Lack bass for games/movies.
Logitech Z623, Aego 3 ($450)
Klipsch doesn't suit me, there is some weird crossover issues.

Bass sounds good enough for me, cant blast away as well.
Speakers right in front of me, less than 1.5m.
Anyway, had moved on from Mackie.
