Me too... Hope some expert can recommend power fans.. Need to change my fans on my haf x casing...

noctua got these tiny fans , amazon quite ok pricing

but I think the airflow is nearly negligible ... fan too small ?

Feel like removing the fans and use a power drill and make holes on the case. Alu is not difficult to drill.

Like this....

Wow, 40mm fans so small! Are you sure cooling will be effective?

I got a LanCool case by LianLi. Can't hear any noise with the lid closed. And I got 5 fans running: 1x80mm CPU cooler, 1 x 120mm rear exhaust, 3 x 140mm (1 x front intake, 2 x top).

Specific case model?

LianLi PC7
Everything is still good. Mod it with USB 3 at the front.
But the case fan is super noisy.

[wacko]

are you sure it uses 40mm fans? looks like 80mm to me.

Ya, looks more like 80mm x 2 in front.

80mm like not that many choices. Want quiet, can go for Noctua NF-R8, $25 each.

[Entry Level PC]

Go open air casing and use your desk fan.
