Recommend a display for <200

Hi all,

Please recommend a workhorse display for mainly office use - spreadsheets, that kind of thing.

Saw that the LG 24MP48HQ-P seemed good but out of stock everywhere.

Other option seems Dell SE2417 HG for around $157.

Any other models I can look at?

Can take a look at Dell S2318H.

Note that SE2417HG does not have built-in speaker if that is a concern for you

But it isn't more than 200. It is selling for $195 on lazada and you could bring the price down by $12 using promo code for std chartered cards. Those lazada sexperts in the lazada thread can probably get more $$$ off with their tricks.

Personally I prefer the SE2717H @$209.

well, i managed to get a samsung 27" from challenger during a promo for $169.
so with that budget, you might want to look for a 27" instead?
if you can wait, look around for promo.

my first glance was LG 24MP48HQ-P too but the reviews said dead pixels or light bleed or spoil after x months. So the quality was in doubt.

Yes I bought the LG. Actually this was for a friend who lives overseas.

Anyway LG offers 3 year warranty so I hope there is no problem.

Dell is IPS monitor, Philips is LCD monitor. Dell 6ms, philips 5 ms. If me, i would go for ips monitor cuz speaker on monitor most probably suck anyways
