Looking to upgrade my Mobo & CPU to either skylake or haswell so am looking for CPU Liquid Coolers

Looking at Corsair and Fractal Design.

Am using Fractal Design Define R5 Window Black case.

Any good recommendations other than the 2 brands mentioned for under $200?

can look at Swiftech. H220-X or H240-X, its a little over $200 but I think it performs pretty well and silent, and is expandable if you intend to do a full loop in the future. Some ppl say NZXT Kraken x61 also good but not sure of the pricing.

A simple Corsair H100i GTX will do u well.

Rather, focus on the fans. Corsair stock fans are pretty loud. Spend some money to get Gentle Typhoon fans to mount on radiator.

Nzxt kraken pricing should be close to Corsair AIOs in sls pricing.

Get from doraemon seller is good, H100i/H105 is around 160! SLS shop marks up gaogao.

I think mailah Swiftech, though expandable, the apogee isn't the best blocks... Unless one really looks to expand then Swiftech would be a budget choice.

Sent from microwave oven using GAGT

Yeah was looking at Corsair H100i. Wondering if there are a few alternatives to compare it to as well.

Just looking for stock as well, so not gonna expand or customize anything else.

Dont bother comparing. U r using CM Hyper 212, so the cheaper options will perform either on par or slightly better than wad u have now. Go for the Corsair H80i or CM single rad options only if u r on a real tight budget (below $150), or if u run into mounting space constraints.

If u wanna keep things simple, just choose between H100iGTX or H110iGTX. The H110iGTX would be quieter since it allows for 140mm fans (and 140mm fans are generally quieter than their 120mm counterparts), but certain casings may not allow for 280mm radiator mountings.

Once u have decided on either 240mm or 280mm radiator (either H100iGTX or H110iGTX), then the headache will start when u need to choose which aftermarket fans to buy such that the fans are quiet yet powerful enough to draw heat away from the radiator fins.

Is there an off-the-self cooler that does not need to change the fan? Prefer a quiet type.

For the CPU liquid cooler , when it stated the life span is 3 years or 5 years (depending on the brand).

So when it reach it 3rd year or 5th year , do you still continue to use (how do you evaluate still effective?) or change to a new CPU liquid cooler instead ?
