Recommend a good value Graphics Card pls

There are so many graphics cards in the market now and I find it quite confusing. Could some kind souls recommend me a value for money graphics card? Preferably can fit ITX size as I will change to ITX when my motherboard fails

Current monitor supports 1440p 60hz
CPU- i3 6100 (reason: motherboards not lasting nowadays so plan to change often rather than when CPU becomes outdated)
Graphics Card gtx 750ti

Usage: normal surfing etc. May play game if/when a super interesting/hyped one launches

Budget: $500 range

1440p, go for RTX 2060... the Galax mini is tiny and should fit ITX if you wish to go there.

value wise amd's radeon offerings are pretty good if you know where to look. I got my brand new 8gb rx580 for $200 from the graphics and display bazaar on this forum, and I think you could get your hands on a 2nd hand 1070 mini for less than $300 there too.

but if you looking at brand new gpu from sls then nvidia is generally cheaper and more value, since amd gpus at sls are grossly overpriced. your budget will get you up to a 1070 or 1660ti, which is definitely more than enough for your light usage but if you say game abit then maybe need to dial back some settings or lower resolution to get 60fps.

Depend on casing, not motherboard. You can use ITX motherboard with full length card. It all depend on the casing.

You can get 2060 with that budget but it is kinda overkill unless you plan to upgrade cpu and later on monitor.

You should consider to upgrade cpu. its a i3 and 6th series. probably bottleneck even with 1660ti.
I'm looking at Asus TUF/Phoenix 1660ti range types with my i5 8600k and already think CPU may be my bottleneck.

if not in rush to change maybe you wanna wait few more month to see if there is new GPU coming? also might be good time to upgrade as Ryzen 3000 series coming.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Ill keep an eye out for 2060s (which seem to be most common rec) and also consider the notes about changing CPU

Either RTX2060 or GTX1660. In my honest opinion, so far only a few games have Ray Tracing capability but right now can only think of Battlefield V.

It will probably take sometime before you see the developers start using Ray Tracing Technology so you might want to settle for GTX1660 and see how it goes?
