Recommend a IT certification course (must complete within a month)

I am on leave for whole month of March before start work in April.

- 38 this year working as infra engineer (basic server setup and network switches topology etc.).
- previously software PHP developer (but not the level of devops, only basic PHP MySQL Apache Git etc.)
- more of a hybrid kind - not 100% hardcore into hardware or software.
- have some experience in cloud computing and linux.
- i own some VPS and runs my own website/ scripts

Only got 1 IT certification for a security course attended in SP.

Is PMP or AWS cert worth taking now?
My budget is $2-3k (exclude skill future yet) and course/exam must complete by 31st March.

AWS private sector/ Azure for goverment sector for Infra. U decide. Target 2 titles in 1 month. Doable.

PMP is for project management, now more of prerequisite rather then advantage.

Based on your brief resume, I will think an AWS Assoc SA cert will suit you. It will be helpful in both the priv and pub sector. Also you will learn more about the inner workings of AWS if you have not. There are also other certifications on AWS if you are keen in them.

I failed the first Exam, where the fees was sponsored by Google. On the second try, I passed. Exam fee was US 125 I think.

But it took me quite some time to prepare for the exam. I self-studied part-time for about 2 months and full-time for about 1.2 months.

I think there was a promotion last year for partners.

Yelp you are right. GCP is a hard sell. But I like their generous offers for learners. I also like Google that they do not use their technology for military purposes. Besides, I believe they have one of the best infrastructure in the world. Being an underdog, they will have to work hard to chase after the leaders, which may force new innovation and better offerings from them.

Google Cloud is mainly for TensorFlow and data science area. Study and learn things that is in demand.
