Yes, the KM6 & its deluxe model have superior hardware specs compared to KM2. But KM6 & deluxe cannot install Netflix from Playstore (and even if you sideload, its resolution is limited to 480p) and Prime Video is limited to 1080p. That's because unlike the lower-spec KM2, KM6 & deluxe model lacks official Netflix & Prime Video certification.
That's the point I was trying to make in my post. Would buyer go for higher specs but partially/not officially supported common streaming apps? Sure, there are some users with the savyness to hack and mod until perfection, but the average user with 4K TV would rather just have official 4K streaming app support from the major service providers straight out of the box (and official future app updates). In fairness, the S095X2 processor and 2Gb RAM is older and slower, but can still perform without issue. Take the Google Chromecast TV 2020, Amazon Firestick 4K and Roku Ultra Streaming+ (or even Ultra) in comparison.
By providing improved hardware to entice buyers, Mecool had to cut cost by not paying for official 4K Netflix and Prime Video (and probably Disney+) certifications. For some users who are not bothered by 4K streaming support for these apps, that's fine. They get improved speed and performance for playing local media files.
But for other 4K TV users who use the box for streaming apps from the major providers, KM2 may have better appeal. In fact, it's superior in value to Google Chromecast TV 2020 with everything the former possesses, but the addition of Ethernet and USB ports to play local media files from NTFS hard drives.
It's ultimately buyer choice whether they go for hardware specs or official app certification. As for stock for China TV boxes, you have no choice but to import directly from China online or pay marked up prices from local sellers.
