1280 X 780...
I shall reply here instead. :)

CPU+MB: Intel Pentium G2120 + Gigabyte GA-H77N-WIFI @ $234
Free 4GB RAM.
BattleField 3's maximum 64 players map benefits entirely from the highest possible FPU performance you can afford that is attainable from a powerful CPU iteration with highest possible clock speed (and FPU core count). Hyperthreading is ineffective on BattleField 3. Intel Core 2 Quad performs poorer despite higher FPU core count due to much poorer single FPU performance.

GPU: Sapphire HD 7750 1GB @ $146*
Check if this is the low profile version.
HD 7750 is sufficient for BattleField 3 on high at 720p.

HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 500GB @ $58*
CASE+PSU: In Win BM650 [Black] + Powerman IP-AD180-2 180W Flex ATX [80 Plus Bronze] @ $109
6.8 litres only.

Total: $547

Alternatives:
CPU+MB: Intel Pentium G2120 + MSI B75IA-E33 @ $197
RAM: G.Skill NT DDR3-1333 CL9 4GB [Black PCB] @ $28
WIFI: TP-Link TL-WN722N Wireless-N 150 Mbps [USB] @ $26

Get the above if free 4GB RAM is inapplicable.
GPU: Sapphire HD 7750 1GB [Low Profile] @ $150 (PC Themes)
If Tradepac doesn't sells it.

Optional:
CASE+PSU: In Win BP655 + Powerman 200W TFX @ $99
If you need to keep within budget after getting the alternatives above.

Buy others + Build at Tradepac, #05-19.

Low profile means half height like this:
11202-10_HD7750_1GBGDDR5_miniDP_microHDMI_DVI_PCIE_C01_634769140555536450_600_600.jpg

which will only fit in slim form factor chassis.

The regular one is as such:
11202-00_HD7750_1GBGDDR5_DP_HDMI_DVI_PCIE_C01_634648147145807054_600_600.jpg

Tradepac might just be selling the regular one which is why i ask you to check first since some other shops only sells the low profile version...

Hi, sorry to hijack this thread.

Im helping my cousin to build a pc, mini-itx seems good as her space is small. Can recommend the parts? A budget pc. Main thing is surf net and online stream only.

Please recommend price n parts include os.
Also a monitor thx.

she want a system that can last 5 years.. so not sure reliability of the hardware will be a factor to the pricing anot??

thx in advance

Hi all,

Thanks for the help in the Mini ITX recommend yesterday.

If i up my budget to abt $700 what improve?
No need os

Actually i am looking into mini ITX cos looking at saving space.
Will normal casing be cheaper since items are normal size?

Thanks

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-3450 + Gigabyte GA-H77N-WIFI @ $371
Free 4GB RAM.
Strong quad FPU will vastly improve BattleField 3's max. 64 player map performance.

GPU: Sapphire HD 7750 1GB [Low Profile] @ $150 (PC Themes)
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 500GB @ $58*
ODD: Samsung 22X CD/DVD Writer [OEM] @ $20
CASE+PSU: In Win BM650 + Powerman IP-AD180-2 180W Flex ATX [80 Plus Bronze] @ $109
8.2 litres only.
This system will still fit comfortably within PSU envelope as such system consumes around 130W on full load.

RAM: G.Skill NT DDR3-1600 CL11 4GB [Black PCB] @ $30
WIFI: TP-Link TL-WN722N Wireless-N 150 Mbps [USB] @ $26

Get the above if free 4GB RAM is inapplicable.
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 500GB @ $79*
If you don't need ODD.

Bit-tech is one of the few review sites to test this card on mainstream platform Core i5 quad core system, giving a much more realistic system power consumption figures, unlike most others using X79 chipset motherboard with overclocked hexa core Core i7 resulting in much inflated figures.

Do you have any space constraint? Does Sharkoon MS140 fits your requirement?
