I have a Hitachi Enterprise 1TB dying soon only after about 3 yrs +.

Need recommendation for a reliable brand and value for money as data storage. Can be 1TB or 2TB.

Thanks in advance.

It depends on luck, any reliable brand hdd can also spoil if you're unlucky. Just do multiple backup copies if your data is important.

I read somewhere that Toshiba is made by Seagate ... Will it have better QC than Seagate then?

Toshia is either Kaira Technology or Eternal Asia. You must make sure you keep the receipt otherwise they will based on date of manufactured

Thanks for the reply.

Had WD Blue and Hitachi failed me so I think I will get Toshiba for replacement, give it a try.

Seems like 4TB drives are most reliable right now, might want to consider upping capacity?
