CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4160 + ASRock H81M-HDS R2.0
RAM: re-use ddr3
GPU: 750ti or 950
SSD: re-use ssd 256gb
HDD: 3tb hgst
PSU: Seasonic S12G 450W
CASE: below 100
OS: re-use win 7
Sound card : re-use asus xonar
Monitor, kb and mouse : re-use

Speaker: 2.1 pc speaker for mainly movie and music.

Priority movie over music. Please advise.

TS you really need the sound card or not? I'm not an audio professional so I don't know what to look out for; regardless personally I'm okay with any motherboard audio out.

Also if going for mITX then the GPU will take up the only PCIe slot.

Can consider NUC like what others said

The sound card is lying around for i thought might as well put it in.

Been reading the 2.1 speaker thread here and still unable to make up my mind which speaker to go for. Any recommendation mah? Swan m10, m50, logitech z623, klipsch pro media 2.1? For priority is movie>music>youtube>gaming..

swan m10, swan m50w, logitech 623, klipsch pro media 2.1, aego m, audioengine 2+.

Budget around 200 ish. Mainly for movies/dramas, and music. No gaming at this moment.

Can advise which speaker is the best bang for buck at this moment, and where to buy?

Or if you cannot wait, probably skylake NUC is an option. Low maintenance htpc to connect a 4K TV with.

Actually, if its 1080p movies... even those cheap Celeron laptops or Android media players will do. Difference being the Celeron is a tad faster than those media players.
