Recommend a washing machine, please?

Shortlisted LG T2108NT1G and Panasonic NA-FD95X1 HRQ…

Any recommendations?

Seems like T2108NT1G not on LG website anymore. I still see T2108VSPM2. This one quite old, right ? 3 years or more ? What's the advice buying old model ? Anyone can help ? Thanks.

Current Samsung washer started to have issues yesterday. Thought of retiring it. Convenient excuse to shop shop a bit.

This top load WA80F5S7 (8 kg) washing machine has lasted almost exactly 5½ years.

Quite keen to try front load washers. Anyone has brand(s) & model(s) to recommend?

Just bought a few packs of washing detergent powder... If I get a front load washer, might have to give the remaining packs to the neighbour.

I had a Brandt washer. That thing is a workhorse. Ran 7 years not a single issue.

Now using Panasonic, 3 years non-issue. . Miss the brandt. That is really a gd washer jus that I had to get a front load cos need to stack with me beko dryer.

I was told some of these good brands used to be good but nowadays, not as reliable. Like they shift production somewhere else or sold off / merged with other companies.

I think that is possible. My new Panasonic washer not as steady as my old brandt. My father in law new honda civic also more problem than my honda civic 8 gen.

Seems today things are engineered to fail faster so we will buy. Lol

I feel that more consumer appliances can "break down more reliably" with advanced planned obsolescence built in.

Dryer i will recommend bosch. After comparing with miele.
Washer no idea thou.

- Philips air dehumidifier and wall fan (any brand) to accelerate drying.

This Lion City didn't sell any of it and you check on the right hand side, it say 'warranty not available'. LG sg website not selling already. Better check others, like Shopee LG official store, Courts,etc.. website and see if they still selling. Don't feel easy buying this.

Want to know how you estimate the load for the machine. If it says 7kg, do you weigh the clothes ? If not, how you know it's about 7kg ?

I think also depends on the workload. Some ppl big family wash 3 times a day so the lifespan is shorten, for me 9.0kg I only wash 1 person load can last v long

My Panasonic (NA-V90FX2WSG discontinued model) bought in 19 Jan 2022 giving me headache. Previously was using Samsung washing machine and never had the issue of rubber/mold flake dropping off. Started seeing this in Panasonic like in the 2nd year of using. Very pek chek keep wash but always have the black flake, despite wife washing the drum and rubber gasket with proper cleaning solution.
