150 baht is for express tickets, the normal city line is 45 baht only, so 45 x 5 = 225 baht only, still cheaper than a cab, it takes about 24 minutes to reach...

Guys just a heads up! Airport rail way rate just went up over the weekend, now it cost 90THB per one way.

So for 5 pax, it will be 90*5= 450THB

VS

5 pax taking cab (if 1 cab - can get ard 300 THB, if 2 cabs, ard 600 THB, Maxi cab ard 650 THB)

Now its a tighter call!!!:(

Actually its not really a tighter call... If you do a quick conversion (Using 24.5 exchange rate):

1. 1 cab: S$12.50
2. 2 cabs: S$25.00
3. Maxi cab: S$26.60

Enjoy your trip, don't spend so much time thinking about saving money for transportation whilst you could be thinking about where to go to enjoy food/drinks/shopping! :)

Chok dee!

Well, the 90baht promotion fare for the Airport Express Line has stopped, so the fare reverts to the original 145baht.

So is it 90 per way or 145 per way now?

Yes.. Anyway no point taking the express, it isn't faster by much especially u take into account that the frequency of express is less frequent too. The city train is the better option. However if u r in a group of 5, just take the taxi.

145B ba ... but the city line comes every 30 min :)
So if you missed it, must wait kinda long .

the more expensive one is the express line which is less frequent.
City line is cheaper and more frequent but stop at all station along the ael.
Express line is more spacious and "faster". Unless u r in luck n reach the platform just as the train arrive, it isn't that much quicker than city line if u include the waiting time. If cost is a concern, and u r not carrying huge baggages, city line is better.

Just to save 50baht? You can try but unless you are comfortable that you won't get ripped off.

At least by paying the 50baht, you get a receipt with the taxi license number written on it so that if anything bad happens, you have some recourse.

So please don't be penny wise pound foolish.

Moreover, it is prohibited by the airport authority. The taxi driver is taking the risk of a fine if he picks you up. It is the same thing at Changi.

Later the taxi driver bring you go round round :)
Always take the cab from the counter, so the counter gal can tell the taxi driver where to bring you go, cause some of them dont know location of the hotel.

Now taking rail one way is 145THB

So for 5 pax = 145*5=725 THB

For Taxi, it will be 400 THB per cab (if 2 cab, around 800 THB).

Now its not about saving money, about the comfort in travelling!

But best if I can get MAXI cab, 5 pax up 1 big cab. That will be the best!
