Recommend an airfryer

Take note that in Mayer airfryers, there are metal screws on the inside of the gasket as well as the main body. Make sure you wash and dry after washing or these screws will rust and taint your food.

I've already thrown away 1 Mayer airfryer because of this issue. Even the frying gasket itself can rust.

I use an aluminium foil on the basket everything I fry something to prevent the oil from corroding the basket. Perhaps you can try to see if it helps.

Its not the oil that will rust metal. It's the washing and leaving it to dry that will rust it afterwards. You will have to wash it and dry it immediately to prevent rust unless for those people who airfries everyday and just wipe it clean with a kitchen towel which is not very hygienic to begin with.

I'm not sure if Philips airfryers has this issue.

My philips air fryer bought in 2010/2011still works well. Want to upgrade also no chance.

I did a continuous 4 hour frying during my kid's birthday celebration outdoors before. Fed 30 pax. Its really a workhorse.

Philips air fryer is good but the price is abit on the high side. Also it's hard to clean the coil. Most people don't clean the coil because they cannot reach the back of the coil. Basket won't rust for philips. Time for me to try out other brand to see which is the best.

Mine is from 2012. Also working very well still. My helper(s) do the cleaning, so never had an issue with that.

That’s good to know! I was blessed with 1 like 3 years ago but I still have it in the box
Some friends told me even keep in box will spoil so I’m still procrastinating.
Any tips for 1st timer? Especially the washing part?

Can advise which airfryer's basket/tray will not rust after prolong wash or use? I bought a brand from Q0010...rust like nobody business...

Philips is a good brand and has lasted for about 6 years and still working. Only problem is the metal prongs holding the coil has given way. Am thinking whether to get it fixed or get a new one.
