Plan to get a basic NAS for the following purpose
- Easy to setup
- Streaming video files to mobile devices
- App support both android and ios
- Backing up photos from iphone

Currently considering Seagate Central and WD my cloud. Central has a nice interface for media which is attractive while WD seems to have more features.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

If you are interested I have a Synology NAS DS710+ that I am selling.
In perfect condition, only used occasionally for back-ups.
Comes in original box with all accessories and receipt. Newest OS installed.

Can include 1x or 2x 2TB HDDs if you want.

Prefer trading at Raffles Place/River Valley/Tiong Bahru.

PM me if interested.

nope. Synology wouldn't give you any delay if you have the right network with the right bandwidth.

i always stream it even using WAN.

btw, i am on Fibre.

By streaming I meant having video files on NAS and watching it using my mobile device e.g. ipad and S3.

I can do so with:
Synology DS212J
Asus RT-N56U router
TP LINK Gigabit switch
on SingTel Fibre.
