Hey experts, can I get your help on building a PC?

Budget: $800 (for CPU only) [Budget has been reduced to $800 from the $900 in my header. Sorry for confusion]
Purpose: Work, internet surfing, light gaming (eg. Bro Force)
Some stuff:
- Can I fix my 2 hard disk from old computer onto the new PC. Is that possible? Regardless, I would like to have a new solid state HDD.
- Also, can you recommend a good place to buy and assemble the parts? Last time I went to PC themes and had a good experience. Not sure if things have changed since.

Thank you!

PC themes still good for DIY.
You can bring your 2 hard disk to PC Themes and ask them install into your new built which you are getting from them.

Either DIY or prebuild.
Prebuild wise there is Lenovo IDEACENTRE 3

INTEL CORE I5-10400 PROCESSOR
WIN 10 HOME
8GB DDR4; 512GB M2 PCIE
NVIDIA GEFORCE 730 DDR5 2GB
3 YRS ONSITE WARRANTY

Can get from Best Denki, Courts.
https://www.bestdenki.com.sg/desktop/lenovo/ic-3-90nb008ast

The graphic card is suitable for the game you play.
If you buy this and want to use your old HDD as you have data inside.

Just buy a HDD docking station and connect to it.
Unlikely there is enough storage bay for you to put the HDD
inside the PC.

Posted this few days back.

Price List from PCThemes, unless stated otherwise

Mobo+CPU: MSI B450M BAZOOKA MAX WIFI + Ryzen 5 3400G: $376
RAM: G.SKILL FLARE X 3200MHZ CL16 ( 8GBx2PCS ) *RYZEN*: $112 (please double check with mobo QVL for compatability. I nvr check)
SSD (Lazada): SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB (W:520 | R:350): $45.50
HDD: TOSHIBA P300 3.5" 7200RPM: $53
PSU: SEASONIC S12III-Non MODULAR 550W: $89
Casing (Lazada): Tecware Forge M, MATX, 4x 12cm Black Fans, Magnetic TG, Mesh Front Panel: $55
Monitor: Anmite 24 Inch 144HZ FHD [1920x 1080]: $188 (don't know good anot, but looks damn cheap) OR any other 24" monitor for $150
Keyboard+Mouse: Generic keyboard+Mouse set: $25~

Total: $943.50

Otherwise can also consider dropping the monitor, keyboard+mouseset, drop to Ryzen 5 3300X (not sure if there's stocks) for $338 instead of $376, then add a GPU (Asus GTX TUF 1650 Super) for ~$230.

Edited:
For your scenario, can drop the monitor, keyboard and mouse, and Harddisk. Then maybe just get 3300X with the GPU instead? If don't need WiFi, can even buy a more budget motherboard.
ASROCK B450M PRO 4 + 3300X is like $304.
ASROCK B450M STEEL LEGEND + 3300X is like $318
GIGABYTE GA B450M-DS3H + 3300X is like $293

Thanks. Can you help me out with a few things?

1) What do you mean by whether I need wifi (i would definitely need to connect to the internet)? If don't need wifi means I will have to use a USB wireless adaptor?

2) Can your setup fit my 2 existing external hard disk on top of the new SSD?

3) Could I trouble you to share with another scenario for $800 budget computer?

Thanks man

"SSD (Lazada): SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB (W:520 | R:350): $45.50"

Thanks.

But is there a website that can guide me on what parts are compatible together and provide the estimated pricing?

Thanks.

Thanks man. Cuz I don't know how to assemble it myself. Do you suggest I just play around with the configurations on the site until I find something that I like then go to PC Themes to order?

I believe there will have to be a markup for the labor and parts they provide so maybe 10% more than what is indicated on the website you linked?

Thanks.

Ya you can try to play around the list or see the other builts.

Just remembered the prices shown is USD. But you can click on those products link to the website like Amazon and Newegg to check on sg prices.

You can also based on the recommendation by the Master and Guru mentioned earlier see the compatibility and you can ask again if you hany any doubts.
