Recommend Camera

Hi guys

i'm looking for a point & shoot camera mainly for travelling use
- wifi connectivity
- Good zoom >15x
- light and small
- touchscreen preferbly but not a must
- self-protrait / front / movable screen (something like Casio EX-TR15 series)

Budget <$600

Olyumpus xz-2. Might be slightly higher than your budget

The TS specifiy 15x zoom and I believe the Olympus XZ-2 has only a 4x zoom.

If you want better picture quality, you need to lower your expectation of the zoom level down to lower than 5x zoom.

If you want high zoom with a less stellar picture quality, you can consider these models

For better quality pictures, consider the Panasonic LX7 or LF1, Sony RX100 I or II, Canon S110 or S120, Olympus XZ-2

Sorry to hijack this thread but I'm also looking for a similar camera as TS.

But I realised that none of the compact cameras has a tiltable screen? I would like to use the camera mostly for self portraits with friends!

Wanted to get the Ricoh GX but its almost the same weight as my LX3 at 250grams.

Hoping to get a lighter and more compact one.

Can you make do with wireless shutter function or prefer to be able to see the image in an articulated lcd screen ?

Samsung DV-300F or MV900F ?

I think 5x zoom should be sufficient unless you are using for shooting pictures while bird watching. IF you really require 15x super zoom, will need to go bigger for bridge cameras ( looks like mini DSLR but with fixed lens )
