Hi guys I would like to get a compact camera mainly used for taking traveling photos. I am an amateur in cameras so it will be nice if you guys can recommend me some cameras preferably with a flip screen.

Sorry forget to add in my budget is about S$400

Sorry my bad for not putting budget. that camera will be way over my budget.

Then get any Sony, Canon or Panasonic that fits your budget.

Seriously, at 400 they're all almost the same. Or get a second-hand RX100

Sucks. Cute for XMM selfie photos with it's "posing guide" but overall image quality SUCKS compared to others.

ohh. so far I see RX100 2nd hand also $500... any other models? Kinda just need a compact camera with flipscreen as a traveling camera :)

The cameras from Sony, Canon and Panasonic that are 400 and below will all do a good job. Head to MS Color, Cathay Photo or SLR Revo to check and compare. AVOID SIM LIM.

Canon S110? Listed as $429 on Canon's website. Check out the suggested shops and see what they are offering.

Memory cards --> get Transcend from Memory World (cheap and good), Sim Lim Sq.

Get OEM spare batteries (Qoo10, NB-5L) instead of originals to save $.
