Can anyone recommend reputable PC repair shops in Singapore for custom built PC repair in the west side? I have a faulty SSD bootup hardisk that needs to be replaced.

Indeed,

1,
Buy a SATA SSD, a 16GB USB thumb drive.

2,
Download Rufus

3,
Download Windows installation USB from Microsoft.

4,
Plug in the thumb drive, run Rufus and point to the Windows installation image.iso to create the Windows boot disc.

5,
Connect the SATA data cable and SATA power cable to the SATA SSD.

6,
Plug in the Windows installation USB and boots up the computer by spamming DEL or F8 for some motherboard, to get into Bios and select to boot from USB, press F10 to save and restart the computer.

PS: you can choose to install an M.2 nvme drive. That's provided ts knew how to tell if his motherboard supported SATA or PCI-E nvme. M.2 is faster and a tad more pricey. Go for M.2 if you can. SATA drives are a tad slower but inexpensive and easier to install.

I had to setup windows 11 home instead of pro because the 2nd hand motherboard from AliExpress was activated with home.

If there are not changes in processor and motherboard, Windows will automatically activates with your same previous license once you are online. No extra activation needed.

You are very daring to buy 2nd hand motherboard from AliExpress. I'm hesitant to buy 2nd hand and even 1st hand motherboard from Pinduoduo... Never tried....review suggested the Brand New in box motherboards have higher success rate(obviously). In some PC shops in Malaysia, I can still find some H310 series motherboards brand new for RM299. That's a very good price though a tad more expensive then what I can get from Pinduoduo. I'm in a dilemma.

This one for RM299 with only 1x M.2 slot?

Or

This one for ÂĄ397 with 2x M.2 slots plus another M.2 PCI-E for wifi? Brand new board in box.

Saying "SSD bootup Hard disk" is like saying "Blu Ray DVD Disc"...

SATA SSD and M.2 price difference not that great... unless you go for high end M.2... only can consider SATA if no option of M.2 slot on motherboard...
