hi i'm building a new PC for my parents since the old one is 5 years old and failing

usage would be mainly net surfing/watching drama and occasional 2D autoCAD drawing. Need dual monitor output with at least 1 DVI (current monitor still running strong and laobei want an additional monitor)

budget would be sub-1k excluding monitor.

Any suggestion/recommendation is welcomed. Thanks in advance.

CPU+ Mobo: ASROCK H81M-HDS + i3 4160 (230)

SSD: SAMSUNG EVO 120GB (109)
HDD: TOSHIBA 1TB 7200RPM (69)
DVD-RW: LG 24X DVD-RW SATA OEM (25)
PSU: XIGMATEK TAURO 400W (65)
Case: CM K282 / K350 / K380 (55)
OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM (125)

Total cost: $776

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, get PC Themes to assemble for you for a fee.

Notes:

1) 2D Autocad drawings will only need a reasonably good CPU, no need for a discrete GPU. Since you are only doing this occasionally, an i3 will do just fine.

2) The Samsung Evo is used as the fast write/read speeds is useful for Autocad as well as helping to provide a more responsive system.

3) Got Mastercard? Consider buying the SSD from lazada.com on a Monday and get 10% discounts when you pay with a Mastercard.
