What wifi adapter would you recommend? PCI or USB?

My connection is 100mbps but my PC is quite far from the router and in another room so I'm looking for a 'powerful' one.

I am using Sineoji PL1800EP powerline plugs (with recent 2000 Mbps speed firmware upgrade) and i am getting greater throughput than before, up to 300 Mbps on my 16 yo Sengkang HDB flat power grid.
