Recommend hotels in Bali

Hey i'll be going to bali for 3d2n... any recommended hotels? i see that there are many different parts of bali, which part should i stay at?

i heard that hard rock is good? but i think the dates i want is full... is there any other good hotels around it?

please advice...thanks

if ur budget allows, why not try getting a private pool villa. A cheap one with pretty decent reviews is Uma Sapna - haven't been there though but from the review and pics, it sure looks nicer than most hotel rooms.

I won't really recommend Hard Rock Hotel (smack centre of Kuta), which in my opinion, not quite nice beach and not too fun place.

harris hotel kuta. just down the road from hard rock. abt 7 mins walk.

stayed there before. affordable and nice.

I will not recommend Hard Rock Hotel either. Over-priced and very inauthentic. Why stay in a place like this when you are in Bali? Go for a Indonesian style resort in the lanes off the main roads. If you can afford more, stay in a villa. 3D2N is rather short. If this is your first visit, perhaps it is best to stick to the Kuta and Seminyak area.

i did a villa with private pool with furama xclusive. however it is located at ubud. more like for retreat and a weekend gateaway.
i must say i'm still looking forward to going back to the villa. really awesome

but downside is that it is located really far away and up the hill
price you pay for privacy i guess

I just came back from Bali and I recommend Kusnadi hotel at Legian area. Its a basic hotel, with 2 pools and good breakfast. its about 0.6km away from the beach and you can access to Kuta area via the beach (2.5km). Then from Kuta area, take a blue bird taxi back to hotel.

I pay about IDR350,000 (standard room) for one night including taxes and breakfast. They even provide free airport pickup.

Hotel is probably one star, but the services / cost is really very good.

I will stay at Tune Hotel Kuta,about S$30+ for double.
Just need a comfortable place to sleep.

does the room comes with bath-tub ?easy access to kuta area ?
the price seems reasonable, isthe villa worth a try, there is no private pool thou.

i just returned from uma sapna and i wld say, its worth every cent.
i stayed at the pte swimming pool villa.
really nice and comfortable.

One hotel I can recommend is Tegal Sari. It is very good value and I tried 3 times to book it but failed. Very popular and highly ranked in VT.

Hotel is in Ubud itself.

I agree with genie47. Tegal Sari is worth every penny spent. You'll simply fall in love with it. The rooms are spacious and well designed. Interior and exterior of the rooms are different and unique. Hotel staff is courteous, food is great with peaceful atmosphere.

no prob! i guess for me, having a comfortable room ( not much indo idols in e rm cos I did stay in ubud villa n they had a v 'angry' looking idol in e room), a gd bed n having e feel of holiday mood makes a stay wonderful.
and another thumbs up for uma sapna is that they will light mosquito coil in e garden in e evening and best of all, turn on e aircon in e room so that when u return, u feel cooling from e outside heat.
they have dvd movies that u can bring to ur villa n watch for free n they hav iPod dock in e room.
bathtub is big enuff for 2adults n like e villa layout in e webbie, there is no door from e bed area to e bathroom, only by a wall.
even e gardener greets me when I walk out to e main road.. lolz..

i'm thinking of either taking a beach holiday to bali/bintan/batam/phuket or a cruise (port kelang, phuket) with Royal Caribbean cos they're having a $3 room upgrade thing which sounds like a pretty good deal. Anyone tried both before? What do you guys think?

Recently when I failed to secure Tegal Sari Hotel, they offered me their villa and it was very expensive.

I decided to search reviews and Bali-Travel-Life did one on it. I saw the picks and
