Recommend me a mid tower case!

Currently using a NZXT M59 and I want to upgrade but I'm not sure what to get.

My requirements or preferences:
1) Good cable management and toolless design if possible ( I tend to upgrade frequently)
2) Good airflow intake from front. Where I put my cpu, the left side is a wall with only like 30-50cm spacing. I don't really care about noise but it can't be too loud.
3) Don't really need liquid cooling.
4) At least 2 5.25 bay, 3 3.5 bay ( more is better )
5) Looks are secondary but I tend to favour more bland looking cases than something like CM Enforcer or my M59.
6) Try not to have LEDs.
7) I want >2 front panel usbs
8) Fan controller optional
9) <150$!

You misread. I prefer bland looking cases to those over the top like CM Enforcer.

Corsair Carbide 540 AIR ~ FTW!

Dual Chamber design, Primary are all the components that needs cooling.

Secondary for your PSU/SSD/HDD that do not need cooling can be hidden away.

No wire management skills needed. Ugly wires cannot be seen dangling around.



$155 if you know how to bargain from $178.

The 540 air looks good but with my space I think I got issue due to its large width size. R4 looks sweet. Any more recommendations?

Either the R4 or the Corsair Obsidian 350D MATX chassis if you are going for small boards and small chassis.

Other than that can also try the Fractal design Mini matx chassis also. But more plastic over steel.

What about the other case in the same series like the carbide 300R, 400R or 500R? Very good case with good air flow also.

I can vouch for the Define R4. Solid build, solid HDD trays, silence-optimized case, very roomy on the inside and easy maintenance. You can leave the top 2 fan slots remain covered, and just clean the front filter every 3-6 months

If space is a concern, then make space for the Corsair Carbide 540 AIR! You will not regret it.

Overview Front 2x140mm Fan intake


Back exhaust 140mm (Note the original one has no LED for the 140mm back)


Able to mount 240mm to 280mm Radiator and got ample space for a Thicker radiator.


Able to put 1 3.5inch HDD and 2.5inch SSD infront. If you think it is fugly, can always put it in Secondary chamber.


Ample space to put in long GPU up to 320mm. My R9 280x Twin Frozr.
