Recommend me a mid tower case!

Holy.. That looks damn sleek. Titanium grey?
I've come to 2 choices after doing research and they are:

1) Fractal Design R4 ( so far most likely getting this)
2) 500R (stretching my budget a tad)

Hows the noise lvl on the 540? Sucks that it only has 2x USB on its front panel. 540 is too thick for my desktop setup. If i put it, it'll push my monitor off table xD. Putting on the floor isnt an option too.

Noise Level? Nah it is equipped with AF140 White LED running at max 1200rpm can barely hear it, unless you put your ear face flat on the front. 140mm is slow moving fan, but able to have high pressure airflow into the chassis. Yet is silent than the 120mm.

Very good airflow.

There are many ways to make the front to have more USB 2.0.

If space is a concern, then make space for the Corsair Carbide 540 AIR! You will not regret it.

Overview Front 2x140mm Fan intake


Back exhaust 140mm (Note the original one has no LED for the 140mm back)


Able to mount 240mm to 280mm Radiator and got ample space for a Thicker radiator.


Able to put 1 3.5mm HDD and 2.5mm SSD infront. If you think it is fugly, can always put it in Secondary chamber.


Ample space to put in long GPU up to 320mm. My R9 280x Twin Frozr.

No need. Theres a latch. Just push and it will slide off.

Go for 500R if you want an all black theme and overall steel finishing.

If you want other colors like white, titanium color best is r4.

Note that the 500R cooling potential is better then the R4. If cooling airflow is important to you I would suggest you take the 500r over the r4.

Yeah but I read about cooling fans and there is a diminishing returns the more fans you use. Best is 3-4 but of course its not 1 size fits all.

I'll give you a rundown of my use. I use or switch on my comp almost 18 hours on weekends and 4 hours daily. This cpu is located at a corner of a room, with its left and back facing the wall. Both have spacing of about 30-50 cm while forward and right is free space. I dont plan on overclocking but perhaps in the next upgrade 3-4 years later but its unlikely. So do I really need that much airflow?

For the hdd/sdd at the front and maybe to help supply air to the gpu. if you have 3rd party coolers for cpu, can be used at the top to supply air to the heatsink fans.

It is good to have good airflow.

It helps in prolonging the components by blowing out the heat from the components itself and out of the chassis.

Honestly? Air flow is hugely overrated.

I have a Lian Li PC-A05FN modded to reverse ATX, so the mobo tray is on left side so I can put it on the left wall like yours. I have 3 3.5" HDD, 1 SSD, one Powercolor 7870 Myst, and an i5-3570k with Asrock E4M. All I have is one intake and one exhaust and my temperatures are all very healthy.

It's pretty much packed to the brim without any empty space unlike many of the rigs you see here, so technically it has much more potential to become an oven but all the parts inside is running in the healthy air-cooled range. Plus I usually leave it running forever unless I need to take the parts out, current uptime is about 6 weeks with no signs of oven baking.

So TL;DR, you dont really need the kind of airflow many are recommending to have a healthy running system. Two to three intake+exhaust MAX will be very effective in ensuring that already, no matter what case. Though I only use decent fans like AVC and Scythe S-Flex SFF21G, none of those coolermaster or random LED fan junks.
