Building a ryzen rig soon
I see amazon so many brands
G.skill, crucial, corsair, thermaltake, silicon power etc
Which one better?
3200mhz good enough?

personally crucial, corsair and teamgroup are brands ive used and are pretty decent. but if not looking to tinker and play with frequencies and timings, any will do the job just fine, easiest way is to just get whatever is cheapest for a given speed and capacity. can check carou for pricing too, sometimes can find crucial kits with local warranty for p good prices. 3200mhz is the usual sweet spot for price vs performance and ryzen will handle that very well. though given am4 is almost eol at this point and alder lake does generally offer better value for money i think the latter is the better choice if building a brand new rig.

more dependent on software support, but usually if the ram supports the rgb software of the mobo manufacturer then syncing the rgb between ram and mobo is possible.

FYI AMD Ryzen very picky with RAM, either
Gskill Trident Neo

Or

Corsair Vengeance Pro

Just take note of the AMD logo on the box as Intel version have Intel logo.
What this means is the RAM is fully compatible with AMD Ryzen.

The only RGB implementation that I don’t mind is found on the Trident Z Royal. Rest are no go for me.

Am4 eol soon? Hmm i haven look into alder lake so not sure abt the pricing. Just building a budget rig, no gaming. Mayb later i go read abt alder lake.

U want the best bling is the corsair dominator platinum. Super bright and fancy, but their ram usually is 2nd or 3rd tier quality if ur comparing the price to other brands.

So far i tried Dominator Plat, Team Group Night Hawks and Trident Zs all on my X570 Aorus Master.

Buy from amazon can choose intel/ryzen logo? I think i dun see any option to choose when browsing.

Issue is the SKU/Model number can be misleading so for AMD RAM best buy from Sim Lim Square.
If you don't want to travel all the way down than buy from PCthemes web store.
For their site they do indicate is it AMD Ryzen compatible or not.

Currently, the 12th gen is the best bang for your buck if you build a new system.

if you don't need a lot of features the MSI B660M-A performs quite well.

Also, need to mention that the stock cooler will potentially throttle the 12400.
