Recommend me Laptop for Virtualization

Hi people, please recommend me laptop purely for cyber security lab and will be running many VM at once. I think this lab would need lots of RAM and CPU (threads). Some of the stuff I would like to virtualize as below:

Windows AD / exchange / SQL / web servers
Splunk/Elasticsearch
a few linux Distros
3-5 user workstation (Windows 10)

I will look at laptops with 8 physical cores (16 threads) with min 16GB memory (will go for 32GB if possible).​

Brands I will prefer Lenovo.

Preferably go with intel NIC, with 2x SSD (1 for host storage, another as local back-up)

I like you guys all recommended Thinkpad/Lenovo/P series and also + the HP Zbook (I like the 128GB ram - which I can top up, but it seems like everything is out of stock). I got 1 question before my final decision. I saw this custom-built laptop going for $2,0xx SGD. Is it alright to go for custom instead of OEM brands?

If only going to be “lab-ing” around. Just get a multi-core mini-pc/slim client with customisable memory. Since most of such hypervisor workstation/servers will be run “headless”. No need to get a dedicated laptop. I ran several of these at my homelab and worklab for testing/training too.

You can find quite a number of options online. Either in the form of the original Intel NUC, Beelink, MinisForum, Zotac/Asrock mini boxes, Lenovo/HP slim clients etc.

I will go with boxes that comes with low powered AMD Ryzen, easily upgradable memory/SSDs, and with multiple (intel) NICs.​

Corporate purchase? School?
If so avoid buying from Caurosell and I doubt procurement will approve buying from there.

I rather you look at PCdreams, there is a HP zbook series which you can consider.
PCdreams is a proper vendor, chances of approval will be better.
