Recommend new rig pls?

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a rig to play new games like witcher 3 since my laptop is quite hot just from playing witcher 2, doubt it can support w3.

My budget is around 1.5k? Gameplay wise i will like to play comfortably in high setting? (Need not be ultra or the best). Also i hope that the rig will be able to support say... The next 5 years of upcoming games? (Is that even possible?)

I really appreciate any form of help for this, am new at this.

Edit: I mostly play games like skyrim, dragon age etc...

if you wanna play witcher 3 which is coming soon nxt week, i suggest you buy a rig along with nvidia gtx 970 or 980 cause you will get the witcher 3 for free

Fyi TS, its almost impossible to future proof a rig for 5yrs of upcoming games.

Also, do u need a monitor? Windows?

I doubt it's possible too, just looking at rig that is able to 'sustain' as long as possible before being forced to upgrade

You will need DX12 with 6GB VRAM to "future proof" a few generation of games.

That will meant at least a GTX980Ti or the R9 390/390X, at the very least

No need 6GB to be frank unless he is going ultra or 1440P minimum.

You don't need totally new hardware for dx12, for the first part at least. And synthetic benchmarks looks promising for 290x.
