Recommend notebook

Seriously thinking of getting a new notebook. Budget is $1000. Mainly use notebook for normal surfing website using wifi in house, typing documents, watching videos & listening to music. Dont really play games. Any recommendation?

Finally bought an asus s46cb with a free 4g RAM upgrade. Have used a Lenovo, Dell, Toshiba before. Wanted to try another brand. Price was within my budget of $1000. Was hoping that the weight could be less than 2kg but wasn't willing to get a laptop that comes with a less than 14 inch screen. Furthermore, think this is the only ultra book with a DVD optical drive.
