10700F no longer selling at S$350, it has went back to S$400 plus. i guess it's still better to get the combo from sim lim as of now since the price of cpu are back to their highest in amazon. if he want a 11700, still better to get it at sim lim.
Indeed. I think the changes are quite recent. I recall seeing it a few days back and it was still 350 or so.

646 SGD _ Bundle Gigabyte B560M DS3H AC + i7-11700
suggest u revert back to the pro vdh. while the pro vdh is also power limited out of the box like the ds3h, meaning u wont be using ur 11700 to its full potential, it can at least handle the 11700 when not power limited, unlike the ds3h which will throttle. u can also consider more premium boards like the gigabyte aorus pro ax which dont have such issues.

I won't suggest budget B560 boards. Just like what was mentioned in the video from Hardware Unboxed, this is not an uncommon problem for budget boards. The problem became more obvious due to the high power requirement for Intel chips. For budget CPUs like the i5, I think budget boards may still fare well enough with maybe some level of throttling. For higher end chips from i7 or i9 series, you should not expect to pay less than 250 to 350 for a decent B560 board that is build to allow the chips to run at sustained load without throttling.

Wow, I didn't pay much attention to the mobo, thanks for the info! That's some new knowledge for me about the power limit.
After watching the video, I think I'll put back $100 into that for a Gigabyte B560M Aorus Pro AX. Also, after reading the specs of the mobo, I saw it only supports up to 3200 MHz RAM. Which means the Crucial Ballistix 3600 would be overkill? So if I think I will get a Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz kit, it will be available by Amazon SG, free shipping too. And if I need Corsair RMA, I think it won't be troublesome compare to Crucial (to send to US).

Sorry to Hijack, may I know between 11700K and 11900.
Am I right to say 11700K is faster but priced lower due to the watts?

Actually I'm thinking of i5-11400 but there's some shortage and price increase like $100.
Was consider to get 11700 or 11700K rather than 11900..
i5 is also decent but if you feel price is not worth than get the i7 instead.

Also, I won't recommend getting the Seasonic Focus series. May be do check online before buying. Depending on the GPU you have in mind, I've seen some feedbacks where it will struggle with higher end Ampere GPUs. Not too sure about AMD RDNA2 though.
I made some reading on Tom's Hardware and they speak highly about the Seasonic Focus Gold series, out of that, I think I can put another a few more 70ish SGD to buy a Seasonic PRIME Platinum. Can you tell me some reason why not to choose Focus series? I want to carefully pick the best, in budget, as possible
And I'm still concerned whether 650W is enough (for this and this rig only, not thinking about future upgrade). So after using Seasonic, Corsair, FSP, and other calculators and read some charts, it seems 650W is enough (I think so).
My aim for the GPU is 3060Ti, not considering going 3070 or higher...
What do you think? I would love to learn more how to get enough juice...
i7-11700 + 3060Ti + 32GB RAM (upgrade later) = 650W enough?

if you buy a 11700K, then you wont be pairing up with a B550 motherboard. You should be looking at Z590 motherboard.

Enough. I am using i7-10700F + GTX1070 + 16GB on a 650W. Plan to get a RTX next yr and another pair of 16GB later this yr during black friday.

So yes, 650W is more than enough.

Seasonic focus gold had issue with the transient spikes of rtx 3000 gpu due to over agressive ocp kicking in and shutting down the psu but that is rectified in their newer revisions afaik.

Anyway if u want good value psu then superflower leadex iii is probably bang for buck spec wise, very well reviewed and u can get 750w for 139sgd on lazada lol. The 850w also goes for 169 which u can probably bring down with vouchers. The issue is superflower gets 5 year warranty instead of 10 years in seasonic so thats up to u to choose, i do think paying abit more for longer warranty is not too bad.

This is correct. One, you don't know if you are getting new or the older revision. Two, I've read that the fix is not fool proof and may still run into some issues. The Seasonic Prime series is solid in my experience running it with my Ryzen 7 rig and a RX 6800 XT that is overclocked to 2.5Ghz. It is not a very power hungry rig, but the PSU is able to run stably and handle the transient power on high end GPUs.

I'm not very paying attention much on the warranty, at least there is a very high possibility I'll move back to my home country in 5 years, and I plan to get a much better rig in 5 years so I think 650W won't be sufficient anymore for any components at 2026. So 5 years warranty from Super Flower Leadex III sounds attractive both in price and stability.
Thanks for the info! Now I know more I should check for the stability of PSU with different parts.

My suggestion to you, shops selling Seasonic you never know their batch is when.
If you have concern about the power supply not compatible, I suggest buy from Fuwell.
Why? They have 30 days exchange policy if Seasonic does not work than change
to Corsair or something.

I will not recommend FSP as their 80 plus gold model had not very good review.
I am using Seasonic Focus GX-650 but not using a RTX3060TI.
Power supply issue does not come immediately, it may work initially.

Down the road than issue will surface but not known when.

The latter is faster, but just barely faster than the 11700K. After all, the key differences on specs is just 100 to 200 Mhz, but it cost a lot more. For overclocking, I expect the 11900 to utilise better quality silicon, but most of them are push to the limit in the first place, which actually leaves you with little OC headroom on conventional hardware and cooling solution.
