Recommend parts for PC upgrade?

Hi everyone,

I am intending to build a new PC using some old parts from the previous PC , have 2 concerns if the GPU fan is noisy as I am putting it in bedroom, and whether my existing PSU has sufficient power to support the 2 possible parts upgrade setup(Gaming purpose)? If not, can anyone give some suggestion for PSU and GPU, thanks!!!

Cooler master casing with 2 12x12 fan

(Will overclocking reduce hardware lifespan? I had bought the Asus M4A77TD with overclocking functions, even though I have nv done the overclocking, the overall setup is very unstable ...., always has BSOD,hangs and other problems )

550watt psu should do fine for 7850. However, i would suggest getting a 7870LE card, eg Powercolor 7870 myst, as they offer substantially more performance for abit more money. Was walking around SL last sat, saw one of the shop on 4th floor i think selling a PC 7870 myst for 318sgd. Bang for buck. In regards to noise level, it really differs from person to person on what is the "acceptable" noise level. From my understanding, both the 7850 and 7870LEs should come in at around 40db for fan noise(look it up, theres a few test conducted in regards to fan noise on internet)
IMO, overclocking itself does not reduce hardware lifespan. Its the temperature increase that comes with overclocking that reduces the lifespan so as long as you keep the temperature in check, overclocking would not affect the lifespan of your components. If your not going to overclock, i would suggest you ditch K cpus for additional savings.

Is the Super Flower Amazon 550W still available in SLS? Solid choice.

Seasonic S/M12II PSUs are also good choices.

If you don't intend to overclock, go for setup 1 and change cpu to i5-3470. GPU can consider Powercolor 7850 PCS+ too. Quiet, longer warranty and slightly cheaper than Sapphire.

Do you intend to overclock? 850W is way overkill for a single gpu and overclocking CPU. A good quality 500-600W is good enough.

Yeap gonna try overclocking , might change gpU to power color 7870 myst EDT, any suggestion for CPU cooler ? I have seen someone saying seasonic PSU isn't really that good in forums

For 7870 Myst and oc-ed i5-3570k, i don't think you will need anything more than 600W PSU.

If you are going for mild oc, CM Hyper Evo 212 @ $59 is quite decent. If you are going for more extreme oc, can consider liquid cooling solution such as Corsair, Antec or Thermaltake Water.

omg, i already am using notua NH-U12P CPU cooler , is it good for overclocking already? If yes, then i would have bought the cooler master Hyper 212 X for nothing, wonder if i can still exchange it for something else ... i just bought 1 hr ago

The reviews are quite good for your old CPU cooler. However, I think it is not compatible with LGA1155 CPU.
