Recommend Processor/Mobo & GPU

Hi all, am looking to upgrade my current rig.
Pretty much decided on most of the components except the above.

The rig is mostly used for:

- gaming (nothing intensive, LoL most of the time)
- web surfing
- occasional photo/video editing (intensive at any one go).

Secretly would like to have a shot at Crysis 3 someday?

So what's the best bang for the buck for the above parts?

The current spec is as follow:

- AMD Athlon II X4 635
- MSI 785GT-E63
- Palit Geforce 9600 GT 512MB
- 3GB DDR Rams
- 640GB WD Black
- 250GB Seagate
- Samsung DVD Drive

If the Gigabyte GTX760 is really priced at $409, then part of my dilemma is actually solved.

when you mention crysis 3, the spec shoot up whether you got play other game or not...... among your list... 7950 is the better value

i think if u change ur psu + gpu.. u are good to go..

Go google some gpu reviews. Most will use crysis 3 as part of test bed too.

Then u will know which gpu will really suit ur needs.

the thing is the rams are on ddr2... way too costly now and doesnt justify the $$$.

the PSU is FSP Aurum 650w, think there's no need to change for now?

GPU sounds like a must! The Gigabyte GTX 760 sounds good at $409! =D Came at the perfect time!

in the end i just go for the following, without a change in cpu/mobo:

- Plextor M5P 128GB SSD
- WD Green 2TB HDD
- Kingston 2GB DDR2
- Gigabyte GTX760 Windforce 2GB

that 635 cpu can run cry3 quite OK

I'm using the same cpu with slight overclock
timerresolution.exe program can help with the cpu bottleneck and boost about 3% framerate on the most cpu intensive map with grass
