Sorry guys, I tried finding a lot inside this thread and I can't seemed to find them. Only one I remember is Alan Photo at SLS. Can someone help me on this? Urgently need to buy camera for shoot.

Wow fantastic... Alan photo quoted me 1055 for a Nikon D5200 with standard kit lens, 8gb card, 25L dry box and a casing. Is the price ok?

Cathay Photo at Peninsula or Marina is a good gauge for you. It's a reputed branding for camera equipments in Singapore. Its pricing is slightly on the high side, but overall good service. You can also try MS Color, John 3:16 at Funan. Avoid SLS and other less reputed stores unless you know who to go to.

Most important of all, do your research properly and know what you need and what is good to have and what is not necessary. Don't go with an empty mind, not knowing what you need. Try Clubsnap if you want more avenue of advices.

Most of the shops mentioned here are reputable. If there is a difference in prices between them, it would be due to the service as some of these shop are customer service oriented and would take time to explain more to you. If you already did your research on what exactly u are getting and just want to buy and go, just get from Alan Photo

Lens got kit lens(18-55) and also taking up the PwP 55-200 lens for 199

Total is 1065 + 199 = 1264.

A patron of Cathay Photo @ PP and TK Foto here, honestly said I prefer to go to Cathay for their warm service and sincere advice, they would take time to listen to my opinions and match genuine offers from other stores.

On the other hand, I patronize TK Foto for it's ThinkTank range of bags and good pricing, but honestly the salesperson never gave me an answer more then 1 sentence long. Be prepared to go down with your own research done in order to get the best deal =)
