Looking for a motorized sit stand 160cm desk. Reliable & heavy duty type

cambridge audio evo 150 amp
b&w 706 s2 speakers
also lots of barang barang

The desk must withstand load over 80kg coz planning to put 2nd set of speakers & other audio equipment

This one says 125KG load, and height adjustment also seem reasonable. It can go low enough and high enough and it's also dual motor.

There is a ton of customizability options and you can also order a table top with the dimension of your choice.

However, I am not able to find any reviews. You seem like a rich person, would you mind trying out and let me know?

I would avoid omnidesk cos their table quality is so bad. Many complain of it warping, and true enough, I was able to crush it with my monitor arm. I am naturally a physically weak person, so I have no idea how.

I'm using the direct OEM version of this. Bought the frame and table top (solid wood) separately and installed myself. Saved about 300-400 when compared to omnidesk pro series discounted in the same size range.

My current Ikea Gallant desk (bought 13 yrs ago) table top is also thin. That time I also bought the Ikea drawer front wood planks. So my monitor arm clamp will clamp together with table & wood plank so that the table top will not flex or break.

Don't be so quick to judge others, lol.

Just like you, I am using the Ikea gallant desk, and no matter how much I tightened the clamp of my monitor stand, the desk did not give way, I even removed the reinforcement that was purchased separately.

4 years ago, I bought this table for less than $100 @ Ikea, and right now you can buy it for $20 on carousell.

My monitor stand isn't a premium one like yours and neither do I have the strength to be going around crushing table tops, it also has a wide base design (Without I/O and Gaps in between) that helps to evenly distribute the force. Hate to be captain obvious, but it's not that easy to crush a table.

For a table that costed over $600, it can't even hold against something so basic that a <$100 table could?

The table I used before this gallant desk also had no issues btw, there is no excuse for being poor quality and overpriced.

The flex I mentioned is not from the monitor arm, It's from users' feedback that is mentioning it flexes over time around the middle and if you want to put over 80KG on your desk it definitely will be a problem.

My Ergoworks sometimes mis-aligned after some minutes if at height and have to reset to adjust height again. Left side mounted LX 13" tall pole with AW3821DW. Right side mounted LX 23" dual arm pole with U3415W and U2421E. Front right mounted Dell XPS 15. Bottom right mounted my desktop PC.

Ergoworks salesman say can load 130kg, knn the OEM manual say can only load 80kg. No wonder

Where u get the solid wood top?

Got it from my-desk. It's not 1 piece solid wood because that will be pretty expensive. More or less the same as what omnidesk use (no idea where they sourced theirs from though)

Wheels is a must imo. If you ever need to move it, even if it's once in a blue moon. Because the frame is so heavy, when you need to clean, or do maintenance, it makes things so much easier. And if you make it a single cord powering everything on the desk, even better.

On my Ergoworks desk, I opted for the ZGO cable undertray, and run a 10m 2-socket extension lead across the room which then connects to 2x 8-socket extension.

Since the table is directly under my AC, I can move the desk to my bed, continue working and aircon servicing can still be done.

No wonder, 75cm is not that common. However, sites like mydesk can customize the size.

Actually was thinking to get a new desk but also don't know where to get it from~

Yeah. I bought their 1200x750 for my mum. Wait for pricing to drop if they're currently inflated, then combine with Shopee/Qoo10 coupon.

Their legs are squarer compared to my Ergoworks.

To me, no point in skimping (unless space constraint) as the price is dictated up to the max dimensions range given, if I'm not wrong. I went for the maximum size in the price range, which is 150x80x2cm ($325 base)

Initially, I wanted to go for 140x70x4cm but that was out of budget.

However, you will need to factor in the initial cabling setup etc might be PITA because 80cm stretches your arm to the max for the average height.

How many time you need to adjust the height in a day? This is determine the duty cycle of the motor.

My current desk height 81cm
I wish can go higher so that can do cabling easily. My Open Frame PC is also under table
