How come cannot hit? Usually u can hit wat base? 2k base? 2.8k?

I can only hit zone 5 max 55 points.

It's ok. Just started nia,this event not important anyway. I didn't even do the event when I first played

I trying to aim 7k for the 3 star shards at 6k now.

they can hit consistently at the max zone. their team should be mostly at 15k

use jets to go clear off missile launchers, and lasers. after that, it will be very easy.
