Hi guys, i'd like to get an ultrabook, and after some searching online, ive shortlisted the below models:

Dell XPS 13 9310 OLED

HP Spectre x360 14

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon

wat are y'all thoughts abt these models?

How much ram chu need?.
XPS is motherboard failure plus cooling issue.....

Hp spectre is 2.6k ish.....

Yoga is 1.6 to 1.9

Can consider thinkpad X1 carbon gen 9 16/32gb ram or T14s gen 2 intel 32 gb ram with this kind of pricing.....

went down today to vivo city dell flagship store to view the xps 13 oled, the screen is very nice i'd say...

16gb is the new 8gb....
If you need to pay 2k and above for one, get 32gb for one.....

Actually, weight isn’t any issue for me.

im focusing more on screen of the laptop and design of the laptop…

find oled screen reallly a pleasure to look at…

carbon has better screen options, more ports so dont need dongle, faster processor, better speakers, 2 fans, faster nvme ssd,

the thinkpad x1 carbon gen 9 is pretty attractive too, but no oled option though

Since one of your requirement is better screen...

I will throw a curve ball here and recommend the Apple M1 13" MacBook Air

reason being that I have been doing colour grading, photoshop and video editing on the M1 MacBook Air for almost a year now and the colour accuracy is just fantastic. And so far, I don't experience any backlit bleed whenever I am in a dark room

Whereas on the other hand, I have played around a little bit with OLED laptops like the HP Spectre 14, the Dell XPS 13

these laptops tend to have some backlit bleed.... which doesn't really quite make sense to me as these type of laptops are not exactly cheap

Unless you want a display size ratio which is 12:10 or 3:2 or you die die wan a Windows laptop with OLED screen then Apple laptops are out

I see I see, thanks so much for explaining, I think I’m leaning towards a ‘die die want windows laptop with oled screen’ though

wat abt the Lenovo yoga slim 7 carbon, it’s cheaper than the spectre 14, wat are yr thoughts?

or I could consider an ultraportable without oled though, any recommendation besides the thinkpad carbon gen 9?

Lenovo Yoga laptops imo have come a long way.

2-3 years ago, Lenovo started to incorporate some of the hardware from Thinkpad into Lenovo Yoga and since then they have been pretty good.

If we look at Yoga vs XPS 13 vs Spectre 14... All these three are pretty like-for-like in all catergories...
at the end of the day... I would say it is truly down to your personal preference.

Go down to Funan or Sim lim... feel the laptops up-close and personal first

IMO if you getting oled screen. Pls get accidental warranty. Replacing screen will cost over 900+
