current laptop prices aint great. in nov 2021 can get lenovo laptop with oled and graphics card for 1.7k.

now, looking at ready to ship,

Or just get oled yoga slim carbon

IMO if you getting oled screen. Pls get accidental warranty. Replacing screen will cost over 900+

Yes to add on, OLED screen has burn in issue....

The static icon at the bottom screen of windows is a good way to cause burn in issues to occur fast......

Another thing it is the brightness.....You cannot use it at maximum brightness at all time even when charged...... You have to treat oled panel with more care compared to ips panel..... A replacement for ips aftermarket is 150 to 200

May I ask, is the burn in issue on an oled laptop as significant as on a phone? Is there a cause of concern? Does the burn in usually only occur on the window taskbar area?

I see, I’m considering the yoga slim 7 carbon too, which of the specs would be a optimal one, 5600U w/mx450 or the 5800U w/intergrated graphics?

Taskbar is static area.....
If you play fps with static symbols like racing speedometer, they will also cause burn in......

Even for my AMOLED screen, if the screen has 600nits, I will only consume 300 to 400nits or set the brightness to the middle..... I never had burn in AMOLED.....

Those who do just blast it to the max brightness.....

Asus oled notebook have the shortcut function to hide taskbar, aka to prevent oled burnin......
