Budget of $500 for a BNIB laptop

Mainly for study purpose and mild surfing.

If possible, mayb at least a 128gb ssd storage.

Been looking but mostly all comes in 64gb or lower

Have you tried multiple tabs for web surfing? My wife is looking for a laptop which she can watch youtube/dramas online as well as browse the web. She will normally open 6-8 tabs so is that possible or it will slow down to a crawl?

The N4000 should handle fine, if there is enough RAM. You should have no less than 8GB if you are intending to multitask or open a lot of tabs in Chrome. Otherwise, there should be cheap laptops based on the older Ryzen 2xxx or 3xxx series which is a lot faster, but again, you need sufficient RAM. 4GB won't cut it nowadays.

5-6 tabs should be ok, no bad lagging. the FHD screen looks good. overall the laptop is not fast but it doesn't feel slow too. it is decent enough considering the price. it uses mini HDMI to HDMI for display output. it is a fanless and silent laptop.
