Recommendation for content creation laptop

I need a laptop for content creation. I'm maintaining a Wordpress website for teaching free courses. I will also be adding videos to the website soon.

Main work includes:
1) Video creation/editing using Davinci Resolve
2) Graphics creation/editing using Inkscape
3) Sound recording/editing using Audacity
4) Live streams for courses using OBS
5) Audio for mic and presentation output from laptop for In-person courses

I'm looking at the Asus Scar 15 3080TI version. My budget is $4k to $5k.

Is this suitable or are there other laptops more suited for my work?

Asus Scar is more of a gaming laptop rather than it being a productivity/content creation laptop.

Specs of a gaming laptop is not something you look at and call it a day that you have the best laptop for your needs. Cause this is what gaming laptop will be offering. Usually they dont come with good displays. They are huge and heavy and worse if you need to work outside, you need a wall plug.

For your needs, you need a good high res screen out of the box. You will need lots amount of ram and a fairly decent gpu to work with.

Another thing to note. Are you gonna commute with this laptop everyday? Or is it stationary.

If you are just going to leave it stationary, do you have space for a desktop instead. Cause if you can go for a desktop, you have access to a much more powerful components for doing creativity work. Cause creativity work using a laptop is when you need convenience and mobility most of the time. Else desktop is the way to go.

16:9 aspect ratio laptop display is an instant no go for content creation. Laptop displays are small so given fixed width, any extra vertical pixels are extremely welcome.

If you're looking at ASUS computers, consider Zenbook Pro 14 Duo (SG$ 3699). Video editing would be more productive on a larger external display.

Another option is the Zenbook Pro 16X (SG$4799). The speakers on this is absolutely incredible.

These two laptops are top of the line from ASUS for content creation. In terms of value for money, the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo is better since it's cheaper, relatively speaking. And it's very difficult to beat duo display productivity.

Powerful laptops usually don't have good battery life (6hr is considered good) so just take note.

And avoid AMD processors for video editing. Video editing should still be smooth on AMD and Intel, but Intel processor with Quick Sync feature will export videos faster.

I need to carry the laptop around for teaching courses so I can't get a desktop. Thanks for your advice.
