Hi All,

Looking for recommendations for a cpu air cooler for haswell 4770. Looking to build another rig to put in my gf's place so that when i go over, i have a rig to use for video rendering and gaming.

I will be using these parts and would appreciate if any guru here can help me fill in the pricing of these. Looking to buy from tradepac.

1) i7 4770 + Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H $426

2) Gigabyte GTX 760 $393

3) Corsair Vegeance Pro Series 16GB $??? (With the recent increased ram price, anybody know what's the current price? And if the air cooler recommended would be able to fit?)

4) Corsair CX600M Power Supply

5) Plextor M5 Pro 128GB SSD $???

6) Toshiba 3TB HDD $???

Since the rig will be at her place, i will let her decide on the case.

Thanks in advance!

Change PSU to seasonic or FSP.... Something like seasonic m12ii 550w

Can get WD Blue/black 3tb...

That ram is quite high, may conflict.

For CPU cooler, can try to find Xigmatek Gaia, dun get the Gaia II. Pain in the @ss to install.

And where you get i7 4770 + GA-H87-D3H to be $426? it's $527....

Can get like g.skill or kingston value ram... should b low enough since no heatsink... or if u wan a bit of bling bling, go order avexir rams online. But is 16gb really needed?

nobody have recommendation for cpu air cooler?

120/140mm: Antec kuhler 920, thermaltake 3.0 pro/performer, nzxt x40, cm seidon 120m/120xl

240/280mm: thermaltake 3.0 extreme, nzxt x60, cm seidon 240m

Most perform roughly the same, within 1-3 degrees diff... so just get a cheap 1 will do. not as if the more expensive model will work better.
