Hi all,
Can you please help me decide on upgrade parts?

I am looking to upgrade my PC. Need to buy CPU (+heatsink if any) + mobo + GPU

What I already have and plan to reuse
- CM 690 chasis
- 16 GB RAM
- acbel 700W PSU
- Thermalright ultra 120 extreme heatsink + noctua p12 120mm fans if I can reuse them.

Goal :1) To play latest games (BF4, Crysis 3, Assasin's creed 4) on ultra settings on 1080p. (single monitor)
2) Do some heavy parallel processing task.

No plan to OC or Crossfire or SLI in near future

Budget : SGD 500-1000

Since I would be doing some parallel programming in future, I was wondering if AMD FX 8350 would be good choice?
