Recommendation for Desktop Replacement Laptop

Hi everyone,

just need help on identifying a few models for Desktop replacement. Maybe it is the age, I don't require something that is light and fast. Budget 2k to 3.5K, depending on specs. If it uses desktop class CPU, even better. Occasionally video editing stuff. Screen size should be above 15'.

This is to replace my 2015 Macbook Pro Retina. I am okay to move away from the Apple. Thank you.

Look at Acer Predator laptops or Aftershock ones?

I bought my Acer Predator Helios with i7, 32gb ram, 1 TB SSD and 2 TB HDD with a Nvidia 2070 card at just 2k (very new pre-owned).

If you are looking for enterprise grade desktop replacements, look no further than the Zbook series by HP or P series by Lenovo.

Else, I would suggest that you look at gaming laptops. Aftershock offers great specs for relatively affordable prices with reference to specs.

get amd legion. with 4800H you can get a mobile chip which is faster than xeon servers for less than 1.5k

There is. Just whether you willing to cough out more money or not.

Msi Bravo 15 17 both comes with configurable 2060.

Same goes to Asus Zephyrus g14 g15 a15

Rtx2060 is very close performance with the gtx1660Ti. Just that 1660Ti do not have the ray tracing. This is also one area where one can look into if there is no rtx2060.

Get the Aftershock Forge-15R, you can customize it to get the RTX 2070 max performance. Also, you can choose from a variety of true desktop class CPUs.

The P series looks promising. The battery life seems too good to be true. Thanks for the recommendation.
