I need an entry-level laptop for installing Linux

Basic usage is internet surfing, Accessing Accounting using Quickbooks Online or Xero, and Google Apps like Google sheets.

I need some printing (Epson inkjet printer)

I do not need Windows OS. I will be installing Linux.

1) Request your help with Laptop recommendation
2) There are many Linux distribution available. Which one is easier for beginner?

Prefer low budget laptop. Prefer new laptop but open to your suggestion. Low budget..

Thanks

Get branded laptop such as Dell or Lenovo. Get extended warranty if you could afford them. Otherwise, low cost refurbished laptop from reputable supplier is OK too.

Important to have good amount of memory. 8G is nice.

My Ubuntu laptop connects to an Epson inkjet printer too. Printing is OK, but it is slower than in Windows.

Another thing, I can't find any utility to do cleaning on Ubuntu, unlike Windows. So if you need to do some maintenance work on the Epson printer, you'd need to know how to operate the buttons on the printer.

Generally I am quite happy with Ubuntu. I feel that I am more productive using Ubuntu than Windows doing my work - office work and some software development work.

For Linux, you don't need expensive laptop, I am using Lenovo ideapad, Intel celeron, 8G ram, bought sg300 many years ago.
I using it for video and web page editing.
For entry level notebook, Lenovo is better in terms of price and reliable.
Ubuntu is the most famous Linux distro, you can easily get answer for problems by searching in web site.
Most printer is supported on Linux, you can search the model whether it have Linux driver before buy it.

Most entry level notebook only have 4g Ram, it's enough for general task, you can ask for upgrade it to 8g ram, ram is cheap now.

Just make sure you get a laptop with intel wifi. Many laptops that do not come with intel wifi has problems in linux due to lack of drivers

Thinkpad T14, E14 or L14 with AMD option. Thinkpad is highly compatible in linux world and tons of options to upgrade years later.
