imo basically too many brands with mechanical keyboards. The best for majority gaming are Cherry MX Reds and Cherry MX Browns. For typing, it is Cherry MX Blues. There are OEM switches like green and orange (from Razer) which function the same, just compare the "actuation" strength to get the correct reference on Cherry MX switches.
My buying guide was basically PRICE. Due to so many MKBs out there, such as overpriced ones (Razer), the best selection point is down to price. For <$100, there are some to choose from, however you wont be able to find one from big brands. If you go up to $120, you can find some from Corsair, Logitech. Up to $150, you have more choices such as steelseries, coolermaster, thermaltake etc. all those gaming brands.
Lastly, it is better to purchase from amazon.us because the prices are just lower than local purchase.
