Recommendation for home projector

Hey peeps,

I'm looking to get a projector for my new place and would love your recommendations and advice!

Projector (800 to 1500)
- LED greatly preferred
- Ceiling mounted, 3m throw
- 1080p if possible

Mount (would like to find out the ballpark for both the mount and installation)
- Ceiling mounted
- Adjustable height and tilt

Sidenote: does anyone have experience with the Singapore brand innovative? They look pretty decent for the price, but would like some user reviews.

At your budget for HD projection not possible.
Below $2k, you can only get WVGA which has only resolution
of 1333 pixels only with installation.

For FHD, at the most $5k. Projector itself cost $2-3k, HDMI
cabling, FHD projection screen and etc. will total up to $5k.
Rather just get a FHD/4K TV and mount on the wall.

More cost effective than projection and do also
your room got to be large enough to support it.

At least you must have 1.7m for projection.
The viewing distance will play a crucial part in determine
what TV size suitable.

This model is more for home use rather than office use.
Office use there are low cost models but not advisable.
As projectors are unlike TV, they are prone to failure
even due to users fault.

Such as user vandalism, didn't let the projector cool down
before switching off, power trip, overheat due to didn't switch off
and etc.
Projector is a very fragile equipment, for business use.

Get proper projector with maintenance contract.
May cost you about $1.5k to $2k but in the long run
it is more worth it.

Don't solely make decision based on cost itself when buying projectors
as it is not that simple.
And also remember that you are not only the one using it but
many.

As quoted above, the cheaper the projector the lousier
the quality.
Whether the LENS, circuit and etc.

The cheaper it is, just prepared to buy a new one soon.
