Hi, currently looking to build a new PC.
- Budget around 2k excluding monitor, keyboard and mouse.
- PC mainly used for programing/analysis work.
- A normal HDD for non-crucial storage. 3-5tb is plenty for this.
- Crucial data is currently on a SAN-NAS. Wireless not required. System has to be wired for throughput.
- Don't really game that much, mostly only play MMORPGs, however a good GPU will still be good to offload calculations to, which limits this to NVIDIA-based cards.
- Looking at 2x 27" and above in terms of monitor.

* Typically I have several favors of databases, Spark, Hadoop etc.. Different browsers with numerous tabs open, as well as at least 1 VM running Mac OS up. Add in text editors/email clients/chat clients and such, and the minimum memory load is typically around 12gb.
- At least a SSD for OS and an SSD for application will most likely be required. Might be interested in exploring a 3rd SSD purely for VMs. Looking at a 128 GB for the OS and 512 for the application + VM.- A normal HDD for non-crucial storage. 3-5tb is plenty for this.
