As per title...
Preferably default with OS, need not be high performance.

Considering the latest Asus Vivostick.
Anyone with actual usage experience to share and recommend?
Using this for minimal web browsing & doc processing terminal in retail environment

Get the biggest stick/box you can

Cooling will be the thing limiting performance, not whatever Cherry Trail CPU they use inside

I just bought 1 MSI mini PC last week. Bought the lowest end and comes with intel celeron 3250u, 64Gb msata SSD, 2Gb ram, with wifi AC + bluetooth(also comes with Gigabit LAN port) 1 HDMI and 1 Mini displayport output and windows 8.1 at below $400. However i added extra 8Gb ram and installed another 2.5" 500Gb hdd which i was using as external HDD previously. Also updated to windows 10 with the free upgrade.
Overall to surf net watch video & word processing, it is more than enough. It boots up and shutdown real fast with the 64Gb msata SSD.

I'm using the NUC5PPYH primarily as a HTPC. So far so good.

But some video streaming sites gets close to 100% CPU cycle. Video is watchable though. There is 1 instance where a video streaming site gets 100% CPU cycle and becomes choppy/ unresponsive.

"normal" Web browsing wise, NUC5PPYH shld be enuf. Might want to consider the i5 or even i7 ones if your application is intensive.

I read reviews about the 2016 edition of Intel compute stick... can't do word processing well. Any user experience?

Best Value for $$$ around USD200

2016 Version of Intel Compute Stick

You watch all 3x Video Review and then you decide yourself which one you want bah.

Voyo v3 is better lah.
USD200 comes with better x7 CPU, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD and Win10.

4GB Kangaroo boh OS and 64GB only and using x5 CPU.
