The next time you go Taiwan for holiday, go and buy Usher S-520 for NT$4800 and carry back. The rest of the money, buy a TPA3116 amp that has bass and treble tonal adjustments.

I bought my Logitech Z623 at QOO10 (local seller) for S$19X.00 (cannot remember exact amount). Z623 Speakers are THX certified and is a great
speaker for watching movies on your desktop and the bass is solid.

For listening to music, Harmon Kardon Soundstick III sound is richer.

You should listen to the sound at those stores that have display sets for you to test before you decide on the speakers as everyone has their own taste and preference.

They are rare, but do exist. Behringer Speaker MS40 Digital, Antec Soundscience Rockus

At this price point you're better focusing on sound quality

Classical music... that's hard-core stuff. Much, much harder to come by than heart-thumping bass.

$300 locally? Haven't found one.
